Members commit to respectful discourse, intellectual honesty, and professional conduct in every competitive and educational setting. Plagiarism, misrepresentation, and ad hominem attacks are disqualifying.
Critical Thinking
Accredited debaters demonstrate evidence-based reasoning, recognize logical fallacies, and construct arguments grounded in verifiable analysis.
Communication Skills
Effective public speaking, persuasive delivery, and audience-aware presentation are evaluated through structured assessments and recorded competition rounds.
Research Standards
Members verify sources, cite primary evidence, and apply scholarly rigor when constructing cases. Fact-checking is a core competency.
Leadership
Recognized members mentor newer debaters, support inclusive participation, and contribute to the broader debate community.
Continuing Education
Accreditation is renewed through ongoing professional development, workshops, and demonstrated growth across each cycle.
